Privacy Policy

RetroMIRC32 stores the nickname, channel, message text, timestamps, session activity, and file metadata needed to operate chat and administrator analytics. Channel messages and shared-file links are visible to other people in the same channel. Private messages are delivered only to the current sender and recipient browser sessions, but are stored by the service.

Files, reports, and retention

Shared files are stored privately and made available through unguessable download links for seven days. Channel and private messages are retained for up to 30 days, nickname session analytics for up to 90 days, and abuse reports for up to 180 days. A report stores the reporter nickname and session, channel, reported nickname, reason, status, and time so an administrator can review it. Expired records are removed through hourly maintenance when the service is active.

Safety and operations

Do not upload or send private, sensitive, illegal, or copyrighted material you do not have permission to share. Nicknames are user-chosen labels, not verified identities.

Your choices

You may leave a channel or stop using the service at any time. Browser sessions are temporary and do not create a permanent user account.
